AIA Idaho Central Section

AIA Idaho Central Section is one of four regional components of the Idaho Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

Central Section membership includes architects, intern architects, and allied professionals residing in Southwest Idaho; generally from the Boise area northward to McCall and eastward to Mountain Home.

AIA Idaho Central Section works at the local level to advocate for the practice and profession of architecture, to promote architectural design excellence, and to help member architects better serve their clients, their communities, and the general public.

In addition to special events and projects, Central Section holds monthly lunch meetings in Boise on the second Tuesday of each month, except during the summer months of June, July, and August, for the purpose of professional fellowship and continuing education.

Buy Idaho Architecture Display | 2.19.13

CAPITOL BUILDING | Boise, Idaho

Thank you to all who submitted project boards and/or volunteered at Wednesday's Buy Idaho Capitol Show. Our display of work received many compliments. AIA Idaho volunteers were able to visit with several legislators, and one of our members had a nice conversation at the display with Governor Otter.
All boards submitted were displayed. We had a great location that permitted all sides of our cubes to be seen. Please see the attached photos. Central Section will be displaying the cubes in other venues throughout the year, and hopefully at next year's Buy Idaho Capitol event as well.
Thanks again to all that helped make our profession in here in Idaho more visible, and encourage the use of IDAHO ARCHITECTS!
-Wayne Thowless,   AIA Idaho Central Section President
